Jiwaji enter Rd 2 of inter-varsity tennis

Jiwaji University won the deciding doubles tie against Saurashtra University to enter the second round of the West Zone Inter-University Tennis Championship, organised by HR College Sports Council, at the MSLTA, Cooperage yesterday.

Jiwaji University won the deciding doubles tie against Saurashtra University to enter the second round of the West Zone Inter-University Tennis Championship, organised by HR College Sports Council, at the MSLTA, Cooperage yesterday.

Jiwaji's Yash Sharma beat Akash Mehta in the opening singles tie before Kiran Ghodasane levelled for Saurashtra after snatching the second singles against Sonu Kumar.

Sharma and Kumar then fought bravely to beat Burhan Kapasi and Akash 9-3 in the deciding game.
