Royal Challenger's Jacques is making IPLIII his kingdom...
u00a0"IN any form of the game, if you get a good start there is nothing like it," Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Anil Kumble said on the eve of their match against Mumbai Indians.
In other words, Kumble's statement has been Royal Challengers mantra for success in the third Indian Premier League.
With three wins in a row, Royal Challengers are on a roll and like most successful teams, their success is mainly built on a strong opening partnership. Kumble's decision of trying out Jacques Kallis and Manish Pandey as openers has turned out to be a masterstroke.

Riding on yet another brilliant start from Kallis and Pandey, Royal Challengers coasted to a seven-wicket win over Mumbai Indians at the Brabourne Stadium on Saturday night.
Kallis and Pandey put on 85 runs as Royal Challengers made light of Mumbai Indians' total of 151 for nine in 20 overs. Challengers reached the target in 19.1 overs.
Kallis' unbeaten 66 against Mumbai came after his innings of 65 not out vs Knight Riders, 89 not out vs Kings XI and 44 not out vs Rajasthan Royals. Kallis has found and able ally in Pandey and they complemented each other beautifully.
The calmness and solidity of Kallis being an ideal foil to the belligerence of the young Pandey. Sachin Tendulkar elected to bat but winning the toss was the only thing that went right for the home team.
Steyn had Sanath Jayasuriya leg before wicket at the score of six. However, the turning point was in the 11th over when Vinay Kumar took three wickets - Tendulkar, Ambati Rayudu and Dwayne Bravo.
