New Zealand win the fifth ODI against Australia to end the Chappell-Hadlee Trophy 3-2 in Wellington today.

Australia lost wickets at regular intervals making it difficult for Mike Hussey (46) and James Hopes (40) to consolidate the innings and keep up with the creeping run rate.

Earlier in the day Scott Styris was the only New Zealand batsman to post a half-century, scoring 55 off 66 balls.

Tim Southee was adjudged the Man of the Match for his bowling efforts of 4-36.

The Chappell-Hadlee Trophy was sealed by Australia in Auckland on Thursday, leaving today's game as a dead rubber.

Australia's two-Test series against the Kiwis starts in Wellington on Friday.
