Briefing media persons after the working committee meeting, CAB president Jagmohan Dalmiya said, "The police authorities have agreed to provide necessary security for the IPL matches involving the Kolkata Knight Riders to be held at Eden Gardens here in April."
The proposed dates for the KKR home matches at Eden gardens are 11, 15, 16, 18, 22, 24 and 26 in April 2009. However, the Centre is yet to give its green signal for hosting the matches in the city on those dates.
Dalmiya said the meeting also decided that CAB would go into a contract with KKR for smooth conduct of the matches. He said the CAB members, players and Umpires would get two free tickets of the IPL matches to be held in Eden Gardens.
