More than 15 hours since he last hit the target for club or country, Torres found the back of the net on Saturday as the British record ufffd50million signing scored Chelsea's second goal in their 3-0 win over West Ham.
"A world-class striker comes with a massive price tag," Lampard said.
"You can't change quality and you can't change a world-class player. We've seen it with him in his career and nothing changes.
"It was always going to be a matter of time and I think now you're going to see him fly, whether it be the last few games of this season or next season," he added.
