Sri Lanka then resorted to negative bowling tactics to deprive Tendulkar from getting to his 43rd Test century.
He won the battle and played some cheeky cricket to achieve his objective. At the end of the day, Sangakkara & Co would only marvel at Tendulkar's grit. He also crossed 30,000 international runs.
