Samir Nasri's brace puts Arsenal on top of EPL table; Chelsea held 1-1 by Everton

Striker Samir Nasri scored a brace as London Premier League outfit Arsenal moved to the top of the English Premiership points table with a well-deserved 2-1 victory over city rivals Fulham at the Emirates Stadium here on Saturday.

Nasri opened the scoring only for Diomansy Kamara to level the affair before the half-time interval and Mark Hughes's men could have shocked the hosts, but another fine individual strike from Nasri earned Arsene Wenger's team the win.

Victory took Arsenal above both champions Chelsea and Man United, although United have a game in hand following the postponement of their game at Blackpool due to a frozen pitch.

Everton's late equaliser
Everton striker Jermaine Beckford's late equaliser piled on the misery for reigning EPL champions Chelsea as the champs dropped to the third spot in the EPL table after a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge.

But after dominating the first half, Chelsea were distinctly second best after the break and Everton were rewarded when Beckford finished after good work by Leighton Baines in the 86th minute.
