Only two victories at Wankhede doesn't worry hosts as they look for a turnaround against CSK today
The Wankhede Stadium is supposed to be the home of Mumbai Indians, but their results in the Indian Premier League-V (IPL-V) doesn’t show that they are kings in their own den.u00a0 They have won just two out of their 10 league games at their home so far — against Rajasthan Royals and Deccan Chargers. Although they are comfortably placed in third position on the points table, Harbhajan Singh’s men would be eager to better their home record when they take on Chennai Super Kings on Sunday.

Mumbai have won their last two games and would be looking to make it three-in-a-row while Chennai, fresh from their home win against Deccan Chargers on Friday, will be keen to avenge their loss in the IPL opener. Rohit Sharma is not worried about the poor home record and according to him, the team is keen to put up a good show in front of Mumbaikars.u00a0“It is not a worry, because in the end, all that matters is how many games you have won. Obviously, we want to do well in home conditions. People have supported us always. We definitely would like to put up a good show in front of our home crowd when we come out on the field tomorrow,” said Sharma on match eve .
On the personal front, Sharma, Mumbai’s highest run-scorer (233), said he could have done better. “As a top order batsman I should take more responsibility. But it happens (in T20s). I am not frustrated with the way things have gone for me. T20 is such a format where you will get both success and failures. I have to keep my motivation going. I have got out playing shots which I will never play in other formats. But T20 gives you the liberty of playing such shots. If you don’t play those shots in T20s, then where will you?” asked Rohit.
Pollard on the move
Kieron Pollard, who missed last couple of games due to shoulder injury, was actively involved in the practice session on Saturday. Sharma said he is “recovering well” but a final call will be taken on match day. It looks like Herschelle Gibbs may finally get his first game of IPL-V against CSK. Saturday was his first full practice session with the team.u00a0Sharma believes Mumbai is a potential threat to all teams in the IPL. “We are placed third, but we haven’t played to our potential as yet. It is a positive thing for us because if all of us click together, things will be different,” he signed off.u00a0
