An unbeaten 80 from Mohammad Hafeez ensured the first Test between Pakistan and Sri Lanka ended in a draw in here on Saturday.
Set an unlikely victory target of 302 in just over two sessions — following Sri Lanka captain Angelo Mathews’ declaration — Pakistan opted instead to bed in for a draw and were 158 for two when the two teams shook hands.

Mathews set up the prospect of a chase when he declared at 480 for five late in the morning session after hitting a career-best unbeaten 157.
The second of the three-match series will begin in Dubai on January 8.
