Pietersen hurt by criticism

Kevin Pietersen is an angry young man and the West Indies could be at the receiving end of his broad blade.

Pietersen was quoted as saying in the News of the World newspaper that he was hurt with what the media had to say about the controversy which centered around him and coach Peter Moores.

"I'm very, very upset because I have seen what people have said and those headlines saying you are the most hated man in world cricket. Man, that kills," the South African-born said.

Right to go
"But right now, I feel it is right for me to go back and just play to do something that I totally, totally love, which is scoring runs and more runs for England," said Pietersen, who was made skipper after Michael Vaughan resigned last year.

The Andrew Strauss-led outfit will leave for the West Indies shortly. "I will jump back into that dressing room and support Andrew Strauss 100 per cent.

"I spoke to Straussy and we had a great conversation about how if he needs me for anything I will be there for him," Pietsersen said.

"He knows that I'll be there for him the same as I was the last time he was captain. I spoke to him again on Thursday and everything is perfect."
