Real Madrid director Emilio Butragueno admitted his team was up against a tough Galatasaray outfit in the quarter-finals as the Champions League last eight draws took place yesterday.

The former Spanish striker was particularly wary of Galatasaray’s star forwards Wesley Sneijder and Didier Drogba.

“Galatasaray are here because they deserve to be here. They have a very good team, and with Drogba and Sneijder they are stronger, so we have to be very respectful because they have shown they are very competitive,” Butragueno told Goal.com. “With the first leg at home, we need a good result to take to Turkey. There’ll be an incredible atmosphere over there,” he added.

The draw was made yesterday morning and the La Liga giants will fancy their chances of progressing after avoiding favourites Barcelona as well as Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich and Serie A table-toppers Juventus.

Meanwhile, Paris St Germain were drawn against Barcelona. “I think it’s brilliant to play Barcelona. They have a lot of experience, quality and confidence but PSG have a chance of going through. We’ll have to play the full 180 minutes,” said PSG coach Carlo Ancelotti.

Barcelona defender Jordi Alba said: “PSG is a very complete team, with a lot of quality in every position. Obviously, (former Barca forward Zlatan) Ibrahimovic is one of their better players and in the first-leg they will lose some aerial power without him.”

Bayern Munich face Juventus in the last eight. “Juventus are a really tough opponent. I know them very well. These will be big nights,” said Bayern coach Jupp Heynckes. Malaga play Borussia Dortmund.“We’ll take that draw. It’s better to face Malaga than Barcelona, Real Madrid or Bayern Munich,” said Dortmund’s director of sport Michael Zorc.
