Another sterling performance by Rizvi Springfield's Sarfaraz Khan has made him the highest run-getter (843 runs) in this season's Giles Shield. And the under-14 tournament has not yet ended!

On Day One of the semi-final against Swami Vivekanand (Borivali) at the Karnatak Sporting Association, Sarfaraz slammed 145 off 141 deliveries to deflate the opposition bowlers. Sarfaraz arrived at the crease when his side were two down for 90 runs. At the end of the day, Rizvi had an impressive 396 on the board
"I don't take too much pressure. I just aimed to stay at the wicket and tire the opposition by waiting for the loose deliveries. I hate to get out when I have got my eye in. Today, I was seeing the ball like a football," said Sarfaraz

Danish Mansoori batted brilliantly too for his 63 off 55 deliveries.

In the other semi-final, Shardashram Vidyamandir were bowled out for 105 by Anjuman Islam at National CC, Cross Maidan. Spinner Naveen Kumar Singh (4 for 35) starred for Anjuman. The Dadar school fought back by claiming two Anjuman wickets for 28 at the end of the first day.
