Legendary cricketers Sunil Gavaskar and Adam Gilchrist will be recognised as Bradman Honourees at the Don Bradman Gala Dinner on October 20 at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

Gavaskar will be the first non-Australian Bradman honouree. This award was established in 2006 to recognise players who played the game well and faithfully in line with Bradman's values.

Previous recipients were Norman O'Neill in 2006, Neil Harvey and Sam Loxton in 2007, Bill Brown and Arthur Morris in 2008 and Alan Davidson and Dennis Lillee in 2009.

Embodying the Bradman principles of courage, honour and integrity, Gavaskar had a profound impact on cricket in India and the world.

Michael Slater and Ian Healy will be the Masters of Ceremony at the presentation.
