New Delhi: Cricket Association of Bihar secretary Aditya Verma has accused the BCCI of publishing photographs of the President and Prime Minister in its annual report "to gain cheap publicity" and sought intervention of the first citizen of the country in the matter.

In a letter to President Pranab Mukherjee, Verma wrote: "This is an attempt by the BCCI to drag the two great leaders into unnecessary controversy. Never before in the 87 years history of the board were the photographs of the President and the Prime Minister used in the annual report."
