India captain Virat Kohli smashed a brilliant unbeaten century on Wednesday to lead his side to a comprehensive win over South Africa in the third One-Day International at Newlands. Kohli scored 160 not out from 159 balls to help India post 303 for six in 50 overs after they were put into bat by South Africa.

Interestingly, Kohli was ruled out LBW when he was on 0, but the decision was reviewed and overturned. In reply, the hosts crumbled to 179 all out to hand India 124-run victory. The win gives India a 3-0 lead in the sic-match ODI series against South Africa

Kohli's unbeaten 160 against SouthAfrica at Cape Town on Wednesday has tumbled few ODI records, here's a look.

1. Kohli's 160 not out at Cape Town on February 7, 2018 is the highest individual score by an Indian batsman against South Africa in South Africa. Sourav Ganguly's 127 at Johannesburg in 2001 was the previous best.

2. Kohli has hit 12 ODI tons as captain of Team India and in the process eclipsed Sourav Ganguly's record of 11 centuries as Indian ODI captain with most hundreds in One Day Internationals.

4. He has gone past Mohammad Azharuddin to become the leading run-scorer by an Indian captain in South Africa in a bilateral series. Azhar had scored 232 against South Africa in a seven-match series in 1992.

5. Kohli has scored 318 runs in the series so far which is also the most runs hit by a visiting batsman in a bilateral ODI series against South Africa in South Africa. The previous best was by Ricky Ponting, with 283 runs in 2001-02.

6. Kohli has hit 34 centuries in One Day Internationals and 29 of those have been in winning cause for Team India
