Opener Akhil Rajput's quickfire century helped Sind SC beat Maskati CC by 252 runs in a Young Comrade Shield match at New Hind SC ground in Matunga yesterday.
Batting first, Sind scored 401 for nine, with Rajput smashing 136 off just 96 balls (17 fours and three sixes). Aditya Dhumal and Vaibhav Singh scored 54 each. In reply to the huge total, Maskati CC were bowled out for just 149.
Sind's left-arm spinner Dhumal was the wrecker-in-chief with his five for 21 in 13 overs. He was well supported by off-spinner Shakti Malviya, who claimed two wickets.
