In an attempt to chase a target of 189 runs in the Asia Cup 2025 match against Team India, Oman suffered a loss by 21 runs. With this, the Asia Cup 2025 conclude with its group stage matches.
Opening the innings for Oman, skipper Jatinder Singh played a knock of 32 runs off 33 deliveries. His knock was laced with five boundaries. Fellow opening batsman Aamir Kaleem delivered a gritty knock. Facing 46 balls, he scored 64 runs, with the help of seven boundaries and two maximums.
Shouldering Kaleem was Hammad Mirza, who accumulated 51 runs in 33 balls, including five boundaries and two maximums. Vinayak Shukla departed on one run in two balls.
Zikria Islam and Jitenkumar Ramanandi stayed unbeaten on zero and 12 runs.

Despite losing an early wicket, Sanju Samson displayed a gritty show with the willow. Facing 45 balls, the right-hander smashed 56 runs, with the help of three boundaries and the same number of maximums.
Later, Hardik Pandya lost his wicket for one run in one ball. In an attempt to stabilise the innings, Axar Patel scored 26 runs after facing 13 balls. His knock included three boundaries and a maximum.
Tilak Varma and Shivam Dube registered the scores of 29 and five runs, respectively. Arshdeep Singh also departed on one run in one ball. Harshit Rana and Kuldeep Yadav stayed unbeaten on 13 and one run, respectively.
Faisal Shah, Jitenkumar Ramnandi, and Aamir Kaleem bagged two wickets each for Oman. Bowling four overs, Faisal conceded 23 runs. Jitenkumar and Aamir were smashed for 33 and 31 runs, respectively.
