After defeating the UAE in the Asia Cup 2025 match at the Dubai International Stadium, Pakistan will now lock horns against arch-rivals, Team India, for the second time in the ongoing tournament.
The "Green Shirts" registered a comfortable win by 41 runs against the UAE.
As Pakistan gears up to clash against India, skipper Salman Ali Agha said that his side is ready for any challenge and is confident of tasting success if they continue to play the way they have been playing in the last four months.
"We're ready for any challenge, and if we keep playing the way we have over the last four months, we'll be good against any side," he said.
Despite securing a win over the UAE, Salman said that the side needs to improve their batting.
"We got the job done, but we still need to improve our batting in the middle order. That's been a concern and something we need to work on. Apart from that, we did a good job," said Salman.
The skipper then said that his side is trying to reach the score of 150 runs, and also gave a special mention to Shaheen Shah Afridi.
"We haven't batted at our best yet...we're still just finding our way to 150. If we bat well in the middle overs, we can push it to 170 no matter the opposition. Shaheen's batting has improved a lot, he's already great with the ball," he added.
In the Asia Cup 2025 'Super 4', India and Pakistan are all set to clash against each other on September 21 at the Dubai International Stadium.
