Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Gautam Gambhir said via Twitter that no harsh words were exchanged with Rajasthan Royals captain Rahul Dravid during the KKR-Royals match at the Eden Gardens on Friday night.
“Guys, u have got it all wrong. No harsh words exchanged between me n Rahul bhai. He was n will always be a respected teammate. No fuss plz,” he wrote.

The Delhi batsman actually ridiculed the way last night’s incident is being reported. “Guess we are always obsessed wid some drama or spice. Sorry none existed between me and rahul. Always respect him,” he wrote in his second tweet.
The incident took place in the fifth over of the KKR innings. It started with Manvindra Bisla’s verbal duel with Shane Watson. Royals skipper Dravid tried his best to calm down Bisla, who in turn wanted Dravid to cool off Watson. Gambhir, who was at the non-striker’s end, also joined in.
In the very next over, when Dishant Yagnik stumped Gambhir off Watson, it appeared that the KKR captain again exchanged some words with Dravid before leaving the field.
