Greg Chappell

Four months after Greg Chappell became India coach, Ganguly was sacked as captain and dropped from the

team. After months of acrimony and mudslinging between the two, Ganguly returned to the side, while Chappell quit after the 2007 World Cup.

Ian Chappell
During the 2001 Kolkata Test, Ian Chappell wrote in his column that captain Ganguly was arrogant to his teammates. Ganguly slammed Chappell: "Frankly, either he (Ian) is ignorant or has made the observations at the behest of somebody else. This isn't cricket."

Captain Ganguly had Aus skipper Steve Waugh at his wits end during the 2001 series. First, he kept on saying that Australia will be under pressure in spite of their run of 15 Test wins. Then, during the Tests, he upset Waugh by being late for the toss on many occasions.

Shane Warne
During the 1999-2000 tour of Australia, Shane Warne had sledged Ganguly. In 2001, when Warne was having a poor series in India, it is believed, captain Ganguly told Warne: 'Hey, Shane, the way you are bowling, they won't even play you in Hampshire'.
