Sri Ma Vidyalaya (Thane)  cruised to a 10-wicket win over Adarsha Vidyalaya High School and Junior College (Bhandup) in the second round of the Mumbai School Sports Association’s (MSSA) Manoramben Apte U-16 girls knockout cricket tournament at Jolly Gymkhana (Vidyavihar) on Wednesday.

After opting to bat first, Adarsha Vidyalaya struggled against a disciplined bowling unit and staggered to a score of 36-5 in their 10-over quota.

Jivika Chalke (14) and Aditi Mohite (10) were the only batters to enter double figures, against the Sri Ma Vidyalaya bowling attack led by Kavya Bhagwat (3-10).

The Thane outfit chased down the target comfortably, ending the match at 39-0 (2.3 overs), thanks to Vallari Deshmukh’s unbeaten 12-ball 22.
