With the ODI Women's World Cup 2025 only a few days away, the hype for the global showpiece is soaring.
The tournament will consist of a total of eight teams with only one aim to clinch the elusive title.
As the tournament is scheduled to be held in India and Sri Lanka, the pressure on the Harmanpreet Kaur-led team keeps mounting.
The "Women in Blue" will play the tournament's opening match against Sri Lanka on September 30 at the Barsapara Stadium in Assam. After concluding their first match, the Indian women's team will lock horns against arch-rivals Pakistan on October 5. The electrifying clash is scheduled to be played at the R Premadasa Stadium in Sri Lanka.
They will then clash against South Africa (October 9), followed by the match against Australia (October 12). Both the matches are scheduled to be played at the ACA–VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam.
The Indians will then take on England on October 19 at the Holkar Stadium in Madhya Pradesh. Meanwhile, the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai will host the match between Team India and New Zealand on October 23.
Harmanpreet and Co. will conclude their group stage matches by playing a game against Bangladesh on October 26 in Navi Mumbai. So far, the Indian women's team has never managed to win a World Cup, and this tournament will provide a perfect opportunity for the side to script history.
The semi-final 1 of ODI Women's World Cup 2025 is scheduled to be played on October 25, and the second semi-final on October 30. The venue of the first semi-final is yet to be confirmed, but the stadium in Navi Mumbai will host the second semi-final.
The title clash of the ODI Women's World Cup 2025 is scheduled to be played on November 2, with the venue yet to be announced.
