In the IPL 2025 match against Delhi Capitals, Punjab Kings posted a target of 207 runs at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Punjab's innings came to an end with a score of 206 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs.

Despite losing early wickets in the match, PBKS skipper Shreyas Iyer delivered a captain's knock of 53 runs off 34 balls. His crucial knock was laced with five boundaries and two maximus. With this, he registered his fifth half-century of the IPL 2025.

Opening the innings for Punjab, in-form opening batsmen Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh departed early. Facing nine balls, Priyansh scored six runs, including a boundary. On the other hand, Prabhsimran accumulated 28 runs in 18 balls, including four boundaries and a maximum.

Coming down to bat at number three, wicketkeeper-batsman Josh Inglis played a fiery knock of 32 runs. Facing just 12 deliveries, the right-handed batsman garnered 32 runs, which was laced with three boundaries and two maximums.

Nehal Wadhera scored 16 runs in as many deliveries and also smashed a boundary. Shashank Singh also departed early on just 11 runs after facing 10 balls.

Delhi pacer Mukesh Kumar claimed one wicket. Completing his quota of four overs, Mukesh conceded 49 runs, whereas Mustafizur leaked 33 runs in three overs for three wickets.

Mohit Sharma bowled four overs and conceded 47 runs without claiming any wickets. Rising star Vipraj Nigam bagged two wickets by conceding 38 runs in his spell of four wickets. On the other hand, premier spinner Kuldeep Yadav was smashed for 39 runs in four overs by claiming two wickets.

After missing out on the previous IPL 2025 clash against Mumbai Indians due to a bad flu, Delhi Capitals' captain Axar Patel did not make his appearance in Jaipur. Stand-in captain Faf du Plessis walked out for the toss.

In order to chase a target of 207 runs, the Delhi-based franchise will heavily rely on its premier batsman KL Rahul. So far featuring in 12 matches, the right-hander has accumulated 504 runs, including three boundaries and a century.

The dugout will also expect Karun Nair to deliver a crucial knock tonight. The right-hander has been struggling to find himself among the runs.
