Cairo: Chelsea has offered 75 million euros (USD 83 million) to sign Spanish forward Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid, according to a report by Spanish football newspaper Marca yesterday.

If the deal is finalised, Morata will become the most expensive Spanish soccer player in history, surpassing Fernando Torres, who moved from Liverpool to the Blues for 58 million euros (USD 64 million) in 2011, reports Efe.
Several Premier League clubs, such as Arsenal, are competing to purchase Morata, who just moved back from Juventus to Real Madrid, after the latter activated the buy-back clause in his contract.
Madrid, officially activated a buy-back clause to re-sign their former striker Morata from Juventus, where the 23-year-old scored 27 goals in 93 appearances after to Italy in 2014.
Morata won two Serie A titles and two Coppa Italia crowns and also reached the Champions League final in 2015, scoring as Juventus lost 3-1 to Barcelona.
