Madrid: Bayern Munich coach Carlo Ancelotti said it's high time UEFA introduced video technology after the Germans were controversially ousted by Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-final second leg to Real Madrid in extra time.
Real's Cristiano Ronaldo scored a hat-trick but his second and third goals were off-side, whilst Bayern had wrongly Arturo Vidal sent off five minutes from the end of normal time even as Real's Casemiro, who was already on a yellow card, didn't get his marching orders despite a clear second offence on the night.
"Some decisions have penalised us. The (red) card for Arturo wasn't a card and then the two goals from Cristiano are offside. In a quarter-final you must put a better referee, or it's the moment to introduce video refereeing as there are too many errors," said Ancelotti.
