Kochi: French defender Cedric Hengbart yesterday re-signed for Indian Super League (ISL) franchise Kerala Blasters for the third edition of the football tournament.

He played a pivotal role in guiding Blasters to the final of the first season. He played for the North East United FC in last year’s ISL.
Cedric Hengbart said in a release, “After a wonderful first season with the Kerala Blasters, it feels good to be back home again. The fan support in the first season was impressive and I look forward to playing in front of the home crowd again.”
The club’s coach Steve Coppell said, “The return of Cedric will strengthen the team further. He is a highly adaptable defender skilled at positioning and game reading.”
