Oregon: US World Cup football star Abby Wambach has apologised for her arrest in Portland, Oregon on Sunday on a drink-driving charge.

The 35-year-old was booked at 2:02 am, according to the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office. Wambach retired from football in October after helping USA win the Women's World Cup.
Wambach later apologised on social media for her 'horrible mistake'.
