American footballer Alex Morgan, who is expecting a baby girl with her Major League Soccer star husband Servando Carrasco in April, believes that women must have the liberty to choose whether or not they wish to pursue their careers after childbirth.

In her keynote speech at the recent Create & Cultivate and Disney's Polka Dot Summit inspired by #MouseBoss, Minnie, Morgan said: "I was ready to start a family with my husband. As long as women feel comfortable in coming back to work and giving themselves sometime after the baby's born, to do what they want. If work is what you love and are part of you, you shouldn't have to choose, you can do both."

Morgan feels it is very important to empower young women. "I see the next generation able to do things much bigger and better than I'm able to do because of the platform that we're setting up for that next generation," she added.
