Casillas revealed the news on Twitter, adding that the baby boy was named Lucas and that both he and his mother are perfectly fine.

“Everything went great,” Casillas tweeted.

The tweet included a black and white photo showing only the hand and mouth of Lucas, who was born on Thursday in a hospital here.

According to Carbonero, the newborn will be a perfect teammate for his elder brother Martin, who is two years old.

Casillas will be representing the national team at next week’s Euro 2016 in France.
