Former England striker Jamie Vardy is unlikely to pursue a managerial career after retirement, according to his wife Rebekah Vardy. While Leicester City fans hope to see the 39-year-old return as a coach, Rebekah said Vardy lacks the patience required for the role, joking that life with her and their five children is already challenging enough

Even as former England striker Jamie Vardy’s career winds down, there is one avenue that he’s unlikely to explore post retirement, and that’s a managerial role with any team, says wife Rebekah.
The 39-year-old, who guided Leicester City to the English Premier League title in 2016, is currently with Cremonese in the Italian top flight, but many Leicester fans are eager to see him back at the club as coach in the future.
However, Rebekah reckons that scenario is unlikely. “It’s extremely unlikely [he will get into coaching],” Rebekah, 43, told her 375,000 Instagram followers during a live chat. “I don’t think he has the patience. Living with me and five feral children is hard enough,” she added.
Jamie and Rebekah — a British TV personality — have been married since 2016, two years after they met when the latter was working as a nightclub promoter and helped organise Jamie’s 27th birthday.
