Mental Floss curates an eclectic range of facts and trivia that would come handy at your next pub quiz. The “Amazing Fact Generator” will give you nuggets of info that you didn’t know you wanted to know. Such as that “bloodcurdling” isn’t just an expression: Research shows that watching horror movies can increase a certain clotting protein in our bloodstreams. Mental Floss describes itself as “Home for ... untold stories from history, science, pop culture, and beyond.” We like.

Intuitive insights

We stumbled upon Karun Pal, who displays an understanding of the inner workings of neurodivergent minds that resonates hard. For example: “Loneliness does not come from having no people around you, but from being unable to communicate the things that seem important to you.” His posts about introverts had responses like: “I don’t know how you know this but this is me!”
Follow for nuggets of wisdom, new perspectives, and advice that feels like a helping hand rather than a sermon.

This is not an Indian handle, but the daily posts of photographs featuring gorgeous flowers in their natural habitat (ie, not in a vase or a bouquet) invariably cheer us up. Be it a rose in full flush, or a field of wildflowers that call out to be saved as your phone’s wallpaper, this handle makes online life a little less bleak.
