Paladins champions

Paladins: Champions of the Realm

Paladins is an interesting game, and looks a lot like Fortnite with its character design and colour schemes. You have 40 champions to choose from with four unique roles, and they are completely customisable with upgrade points and a card deck. This means even your healer can do some serious damage if you customise it that way. There are several game modes including King of the Hill, Deathmatch, Siege and some timed modes. There are 16 maps as well. You can use real money to buy outfits and cosmetic changes but it doesn’t influence the gameplay.

Apex Legends

Apex Legends is another one of those e-sport titles you need to know about. If you haven’t played it yet, it’s a tactical squad-based shooter. The game has a huge roster of characters, each with a unique ability. The game has two modes—you can either play in the team-based Battle Royale mode, or play Arenas where a squad fights in the team death match. If you love PUBG, there is a good chance you will love Apex Legends too. The game feels faster than PUBG and the impact of team dynamics is a lot more than most other Battle Royale games.

Brawlhalla

This is a 2D platformer brawling game with cross-play supporting PC, PS5, Xbox, Switch, iOS, and Android. They have ranked 1v1, 2v2, 4v4 and a four-player free for all. There are several game modes including Brawlball, Bombsketball, Capture the Flag, Kung Foot and more. The best part is the sheer list of characters available, with more added every month—each with their special ability and weapons. The gameplay itself is chaotic and fun. You have to essentially get your opponent off the ledge and into the pit below. Brawlhalla has a cartoon aesthetic to its characters, which makes it unique.

Valorant

Valorant is a 5 VS 5 character-based tactical FPS, depending on the character you choose you have special abilities that can be used for tactical advantage on the battlefield. The game has taken the world by storm and is now a mainstay in e-sports. You can make a lot of money if you are good at this game. There are four types of agent roles, Duellist, Controller, Initiator and Sentinel. Each agent character has a special ability which adds depth to the game. For a game like Valorant, it makes sense to know your teammates intimately and strategise.

Halo Infinite

Halo Infinite is both the name of the latest game in the Halo series and also their multiplayer game that is completely free. The first-person shooter (FPS) has several modes that include Death Match, Capture the Flag, Four-on-Four, Oddball, Stronghold and Last Spartan Standing amongst others. There are many maps as well. The free multiplayer Halo infinite was released before the campaign version of the game and it has become the mainstay of many online gamers. However, like other online multiplayer games, this one also has a premium subscription that gives you access to fancy outfits and weapons.

Genshin Impact

Genshin Impact is usually used to test a mobile phone’s gaming capabilities. However, it is also an extremely interesting game to play. It looks like it came straight out of an anime complete with more than 20 characters each with an interesting back story. The whole game works on completing quests and levelling up, which opens up more areas in the game. The maps are filled with hidden secrets and mini-dungeons that you can explore. There is magic, combat and puzzles to solve. You can play the solo or with four of your friends, and the best part is they don’t need to be on the same system. Genshin Impact supports cross-play for PS4, iOS, Android and PC.

Albion Online

If you are into role-playing, you must play Albion. It has excellent combat and loot mechanics. There are battles at every corner and things like armour and in-game stuff can be crafted by the user. Your abilities also depend on your gear. There is an emphasis on Dungeon crawling, raids and Player VS Player (PVP) battles. You also gather resources like a traditional RPG game. You can use these to build gear and farm. It should be noted that the game supports looting from other players, which means while playing in PVP areas there is a chance you can lose your gear when you die.

Path of Exile

Path of Exile is an action RPG a lot like Diablo, especially in the way it presents combat. You are thrown right into the thick of it as soon as the game starts up. As you progress though you will notice how much more in-depth this game is when compared to its inspiration. There are sprawling dungeons to explore and a lot of loot to be found. Your character is mostly an empty shell and the way to make them more powerful is through gem embedded equipment which you will build over time by playing the game. There are many quests to be found in the towns and the game progresses very well. Not to mention it is extremely addictive.
