What should I do? Should I break up just to spare myself any future pain?

I am a 29-year old guy and have been struggling to convince my girlfriend to take our relationship more seriously. She says she loves me, and I know she enjoys being with me, but she also routinely talks about eventually breaking up. She says this is important for her personal growth but doesn’t explain how or why. I think she likes the idea in principle without fully understanding that we have a great relationship worth holding on to. My parents are putting a lot of pressure on me to marry before I turn 30, and I have long believed she is the one, but can’t imagine even proposing to her because of these ideas. What should I do? Should I break up just to spare myself any future pain?
Have you tried telling her your plans and why you want to take this relationship to the next level? It’s the simplest thing to do without proposing, because it will give her a sense of how you look at her and this relationship, and evaluate whether or not she is willing to invest time and energy to try and make it work. There’s nothing wrong with her idea of meeting more people if that’s what she thinks will be good for her, but it’s also unfair if she doesn’t give you a clearer idea of what her intentions are. I suggest you give yourself a deadline, tell her about it, and let your cards fall where they might. At the very least, she may ask for more time, which will give you a chance to make a more informed decision about how long you are prepared to wait before moving on.
My girlfriend repeatedly lies about small things and doesn’t think this is bad. It is making it harder for me to trust her. How do I get her to stop?
If she doesn’t take your concern seriously, you should inform her that she disrespects not just you but your relationship with each other.
