Why assume there will be a scene if you aren’t sure how to react? You can acknowledge her presence like an adult and see what happens

I am a 24-year-old guy with a good job, decent education and normal family. I have great friends but have never been in a serious relationship. I meet a lot of women, have tried dating apps, and have always been polite and respectful on dates, but nothing evolves into a relationship, and I am starting to get disillusioned with the whole idea of being with someone. If no one wants to date a good guy like me, I wonder if I should stop trying. I don’t want to turn into a pessimistic person, but if I can’t figure out why no one wants to be in a relationship, should I just give up? How do I know if I am doing something wrong?
This may have nothing to do with you and everything to do with the people you’re meeting. The opposite is also possible, of course, if you are coming on too strong or aren’t getting helpful feedback on what you’re doing. Giving up on the idea of dating may seem like a good idea given your disenchantment with what has happened, but it isn’t a constructive approach to resolving anything. Why not take a break from attempting to get into a relationship and simply try understanding yourself a little more. Try asking yourself questions about the kind of person you are, what you want out of a relationship, and who you have been dating. Give yourself breathing room and accept that this may take a while but isn’t an indication of something wrong. Sometimes, it’s just a question of meeting someone who wants the same things you do.

How should I react if I run into my ex-girlfriend after a bad break-up? I may meet her in a few days because a common friend is getting married, and I am afraid because I don’t want to cause a scene.
Why assume there will be a scene if you aren’t sure how to react? You can acknowledge her presence like an adult and see what happens.
