Veteran actor Annu Kapoor will be seen playing the role of a quirky scientist in his upcoming film "Mangal Ho".

In the film, Kapoor is essaying a scientist who is curious to find out whether there is a life on Mars.
"I am playing a scientist in the film. All legendary scientists who have invented enormous devices had their entire focus on creating an innovative device. I have always been a man of Science, logics and reasons," Kapoor said in a statement here.
"I was a student of Science too, being familiar with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry. Though I have been working with art all these years, my basic approach towards life has always been scientific," he added.
Kapoor is passionate about Science and "Mangal Ho" made him revisit fond memories.
"Pritish Chakraborty (director) approached me with this script and the prospects of the film. His youthful energy and skills prompted me to instantly agree to the film. I just couldn't refuse," he said.
Through this film, Chakraborty is attempting a beginning of a civilisation with a man and woman, the only difference being that the place in this case is the planet of Mars.
