Andy Bichel, bowling coach of the Chennai Super Kings, confirmed to MiD DAY that he has pulled out of the race to become Australia's bowling coach ufffd a position vacated following the ouster of Troy Cooley after the recently concluded World Cup.

It is learnt that besides Bichel, Allan Donald, Jason Gillespie and Craig McDermott, are some of the front runners for the job. "Yes, I did apply for that job. But, I realised that it was needed for me to be on a tour a lot with the Australian cricket team. I applied, but eventually declined the role. It was for me to work out, just wasn't happening. However, I did enjoy the process of the interview. I am sure the right candidate will be finalised," Bichel told MiD DAY on the eve of his side's home game against Delhi Daredevils.
