Andheri court issued the directive based on PIL filed by an RTI activist, who had complained about the godwoman flying with a trishool in August 2015
The Andheri Metropolitan Court yesterday ordered the Airport police to register an FIR against self-styled godwoman Radhe Maa under the Arms Act for travelling with a ‘trishool’ inside a flight. Police sources said the directive was issued following a PIL filed by RTI activist Asad Patel, who claimed it was against the rules to carry sharp objects inside the domestic and international airport premises.

Speaking to mid-day, Patel said, “Last August, I saw Radhe maa travel with a trishool following which I complained to the Airport police and airport authorities. Upon realising that my complaint had fallen on deaf eras, I approached the court. Finally, an order has been issued to file an FIR against Radhe Maa.”
Patel’s lawyer Rajkumar Rajhans confirmed that the court has ordered the police to file an FIR against Radhe Maa.
When contacted, Senior Inspector Shrirang Mayekar from Airport police station said, “We can’t comment much on the issue, as we are yet to receive a copy of the court’s order.”
The other side
When contacted Sanjay Gupta, a close aide of Radhe Maa, said, “I am busy at an event. So can’t talk now.”
