After a spate of disappointing box-office releases, Rohit Shetty appears to be having the last laugh. The director's latest comic caper, Golmaal Again has hit jackpot by earning Rs 200 crore within 24 days of its release. The figure marks the highest secured by an Ajay Devgn-starrer, with the actor's Shivaay (2016) and Drishyam (2015) too, securing only Rs 100.3 crore and Rs 91.97 crore respectively.

An ecstatic Shetty tells mid-day, "I am overwhelmed with the response that the film has received and want to thank the audience for appreciating it." Shetty's Diwali release hit the marquee on October 19, along with Aamir Khan's Secret Superstar, which has approximately earned Rs 60 crore till date. The positive word-of-mouth means the film continues to draw viewers to cinema halls.
