West Indies big-hitter has taken a dig at Australia exactly a year after last summer’s ‘Don’t blush, baby’ controversy.

Yesterday, Gayle posted a video on Instagram of himself dancing with a partner rather suggestively during the St Kitts Carnival and accompanied the clip with the message: “4th Jan officially 1 year anniversary #DontBlushBaby — Australia, lighten the phuck Up!!!” The video has since been taken off social media.

On January 4 last year, Gayle then playing for the Melbourne Renegades in the Big Bash League, during an interview with Channel 10 host Mel McLaughlin, had asked her if she would be interested in getting a drink with him after the game. Moments after the offer, he said to her: “Don’t blush baby”. The phrase went on to make headlines as the cricketer was later criticised for being sexist and even fined $10,000.

Gayle later said the media was making him a scapegoat amid calls seeking a ban on him from the BBL. Though Cricket Australia
didn’t ban him, no franchise has signed him for BBL this season.

This could’ve irked the Jamaican leading to this wild retaliation.
