This Diwali get your hands on healthy cookies full of spicy goodness that's oh so Indian

If the same ho- hum sweets and chocolates for Diwali are boring you this festive season, how about some gourmet cookies perked up with Indian spices for starters. Ba Cookies, a cookie making venture by businessman Bhuvan Thaker will take care of your sweet tooth this Diwali.

Thaker started this venture in association with a baker at the Hare Krishna ISCKON temple in the city where the cookies are manufactured. Ba cookies are free from artificial colours, flavours and preservatives and contain only healthy ingredients like ragi, whole wheat, ghee, Belgian chocolate, and cardamom from India's spice capital, Idukki in Kerala.

Bhuvan says: "Many people make cookies using margarine from a cost-perspective, which is actually not good for health. We use ghee. This means they are not sticky, they are crunchier."u00a0 All the cookies are rich in fibre, protein, calcium and iron and contain a good balance of saturated and unsaturated fats (no hydrogenated or trans fats allowed).

The cookies are available in four flavours- butter, chocolate, mixed nut and the delectable mixed spice. Customers wishing to subscribe, or make a one-off purchase for Diwali, can order via the website
