England manager Fabio Capello has been asked by the police to stop talking about John Terry, according to reports by The Sun. Skipper Terry, who was last night included in the 25-man squad for the forthcoming friendlies against Spain and Sweden, is claimed to have called QPR's Anton Ferdinand a 'f****** black ****' during a Premier League match last month.
Capello picked the defender insisting that he is 'innocent until proven guilty'. But cops investigating the race-row allegations do not want Capello to prejudice their case. Metropolitan Police have have demanded the Football Association ensure that Capello keeps quiet.
Lampard to lead According to reports, Terry will not start the friendlies and will be demoted to the substitutes' bench. Chelsea teammate Frank Lampard is set to captain England against Spain and could also skipper the team against Sweden.
Roo, Rio left out Manchester United duo Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand have been left out. Capello decided not to select Rooney as he needs to look at other attacking options ahead of Euro 2012 following the striker's three-match ban for a red card against Montenegro.
