CP Goenka International School (Juhu) had to forfeit their Mumbai Schools Sports Association Harris Shield inter-school cricket match against Saraswati Vidya Mandir HS (Mahim) at Azad Maidan yesterday as most of their players did not have their Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) identity cards.

As per the tournament's rules, all players participating in the Harris Shield must possess a MCA identity card which is to be shown to the umpires before the match. However, yesterday only four CP Goenka players — Aryan Irani, Akarsh Hirenwal, Ibrahim Shawl and Shresht Khetan — had MCA identity cards.
CP Goenka's coach Vaibhav Khudda said he didn't know that the players needed to be registered under the MCA. "It's been just three months since I have taken over as coach of this team. I did not know that it was necessary to register the players under MCA," an embarrassed Khudda told mid-day yesterday even as his players walked off disappointed.
