The Harry Potter star has grown his hair for the new movie, transforming his looks altogether.
His curly locks are usually kept in check during filming, but the 22-year-old looked like he was still sporting a bed head when he turned up on the New York set, reported Sun Online.
The 22-year-old actor plays the gay fifties poet as a student in his second screen outing since the wizard franchise finished in 2011. Co-star Ben Foster, who plays fellow writer William S Burroughs, reckon audiences are in for a shock and not just because of the dodgy barnet.
"In terms of Daniel Radcliffe, I admire him so much. He is a tremendously courageous human, great mind. He's done some work in this film which I think is going to shock and impress and put to bed so many doubting minds.
"Everyone seems to be ready to cut the man down, and he's going to prove them wrong. He's a hell of a talent," he said.
