True, there is no formula to success. But, a quick run through the discography of brothers Dimitri and Mike Thivaios, better known as Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike (DVLM), might just have you believe that they have discovered a magic potion for success. Be it their collaboration with composer Hans Zimmer for Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, or the remix, Something Just Like This, the Belgian DJ duo has taken over the music world with their chartbusters. DVLM is currently ranked No. 2 on DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs' list. Music aficionados laud their songs, but do ratings on charts matter to them? Mike laughs, "There are so many ways of evaluating music these days. The country and Spotify charts are important. We are waiting for India to jump onto Spotify. They will be a game changer."
Hello Bollywood!
Their contemporaries, DJ Diplo, The Vamps and Akon have had their brush with India by way of Bollywood music. Does DVLM intend to follow in their footsteps? "We've watched some Bollywood films, but can't recollect the names. We're keen on working in Bollywood. You'll surely get some surprises next year," says Vegas.
Salman Khan
In September last year, mid-day had reported that the duo is in talks with Salman Khan and cricketer Virat Kohli for a single. But, the project is yet to kick-off. "Nothing's concrete yet. Salman is an amazing person and a supportive friend. We look forward to working with him some day," says Mike, adding that they share a bond with actors Sonakshi Sinha and Jacqueline Fernandez. "They've been supporting us for our DJ Mag campaign. They are great people."
Priyanka Chopra

One Indian artiste DVLM is keen to collaborate with, is Priyanka Chopra. "We've never met her, but would want to work with her. She is doing amazing work internationally," says Vegas.
DVLM is currently
working on their latest club track, Crowd Control. "It has become an Internet hype with several videos popping up. Our friends David Guetta, Skrillex, Marshmellow, Tiësto and Axwell have also been promoting the song," says Mike.
