The Guide does a round up of three online options to order in your Ramzan feast in case you don't have the time to dish up one yourself

Eid is upon us and it is time to finally move ahead with a month long worth of strict fasting behind us. Ramzan is a month of fasting for the entire community.

The Quran prescribes fasting as a means of being righteous. Muslims during this month of self restraint abstain from lying, maintain clean transactions and do not burden servants.

The month of fasting culminates in a feast and a promise that the impact of this will remain for the rest of the year.

It is time to bring on the end of Ramzan by celebrating with a grand feast. Eid is celebrated with a feast where every Muslim home invites those of other communities for an Eid Milan.

The feast usually includes biryani and Sheer Khurma and a variety of kababs and sweet dishes.

While some of us are probably lucky enough to get invited or have a grand feast prepared at home for those who crave the delish biryanis but can't make them, here are three online options to get an Eid feast delivered right to your doorstep.

Haleem-e-Khas Service

It is hard to imagine that a express cargo delivery and logistics company like Gati could also deliver hot, steaming bowls of Haleem or even fragrant biryanis right at your doorstep.

It's been over ten years since Gati has started the Haleem-E-Khas service.

Under this service, you can order in freshly cooked Haleem that is a gooey mixture of wheat, meat, ghee, lentils and dry fruits prepared by a Hyderabad-based restaurant called Pista House and packaged to be delivered. The fresh version is priced at Rs 395 per kilo and the tinned version Rs 270 per 450 grams.

If you are looking out to order a bigger feast then you could order their Festive Party comprising ten pieces of kababs, 1 kilo haleem, 1.5kg, mutton or chicken biryani, two kilos Hyderabadi chicken 1.5 kilos salan, Rumali Roti, and 1 kilo Khubani Ka Meetha (a dessert made out of stewed apricots served with thick cream) for Rs 3,330.

All you have to do is place your order before 11 am in the morning. The orders get dispatched all the way from Hyderabad by a four pm flight and they will reach your home by 8 pm on the same day.

Ammi's Biryani

Now you can get biryani delivered to any part of Bangalore at just a click of a mouse. Ammi's biryani will come packed in neat little TV dinner style boxes with biryani accompanied by little portions of brinjal salan, raita and a sweet.

Choose from Gosht (Rs 115), Murg (Rs 100), Anda (Rs 80) and Subzi (Rs 60) biryani and also order kababs like Murg Kabab with or without bone and Gosht Kabab.

For those who cannot imagine eating without their family on this special day, you can order family packs of all the available biryanis. Depending on the distance, a minimum order has to be placed.

Dial-A-Biryani

Zaikaa, the restaurant has come up with a novel idea to deal with its ever increasing clientele at its Frazer town restaurant.

Just get online and order. You can dig into Mutton Biryani (Rs 130), Chicken Biryani (Rs 120) and Vegetable Biryani (Rs 90).

All versions are served with portions of a spicy curry, raita and a sweet.
