English Premier League giants Manchester United have appointed Jose Mourinho as their new manager, Sky Sports News reported on Thursday.
The 53-year-old Portuguese replaces Dutchman Louis van Gaal whose two-year reign at Old Trafford ended on Monday, two days after United lifted the FA Cup.

According to Mirror.co.uk, the Portuguese manager has agreed personal terms with the Red Devils. The website said t hat though a deal has been agreed on it hasn't signed yet. It claimed Mourinho's agent Jorge Mendes has flown in for talks with Ed Woodward and a deal is close to being finalised.
The self-styled “Special One”, Mourinho was sacked by Chelsea in December, ending his second spell in charge of the London club. He has also managed Porto, Inter Milan and Real Madrid.
Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand also tweeted, "Jose.. Signed.. Sealed.. Delivered! #Mourinho announced @ManUtd manager!!"
