Director will make her 'official' Twitter debut on October 3

After a year of dilly-dallying, Farah Khan has finally succumbed to the Twitter bug.

Yesterday, the Tees Maar Khan director's husband Shirish Kunder posted on his account on the social networking website, "FARAH is on Twitter @TheFarahKhan. The Farah that I am following, yes that's real :-)."

Says Khan, "After resisting it for months, I have finally succumbed to Twitter according to the dictats of my marketing team who insisted I do it for our film Tees Maar Khan. All my friends, and even people I barely know, always ask me why I am not on Twitter. So though I unofficially started tweeting yesterday, I will officially join from October 3 onwards."

Farah says that though she suffers from the 'foot-in-mouth' syndrome, she will be her usual candid self on the website. "I put my foot in my mouth but I can't be politically correct. I will be the way I am. Of course apart from films I will also be tweeting on many things including issues I feel strongly about. I fear I will be tweeting mostly about my babies' antics! In fact, I am thinking about being a little more advanced and make my children tweet and say what I want under their names."

Kya Timing Hai...
Most stars time their Twitter joining date close to the release of their bigger films, obviously to promote them. The list includes...
Shah Rukh Khan (for My Name Is Khan)
Hrithik Roshan (for Kites)
Deepika Padukone and Farhan Akhtar (for Karthik Calling Karthik)
Salman Khan (for Dabangg)
Sanjay Dutt and Bipasha Basu (for Lamhaa)
Aamir Khan (for 3 Idiots)
Ajay Devgn (for Raajneeti)
Riteish Deshmukh (for Aladin)
