A 51-year-old man and his son were arrested by the sleuths of Deccan-Gymkhana police station, after a case of cheating was registered against them. The father-son duo, Sanjay Malwade and Aditya, duped several youngsters by promising them government jobs in sectors such as railways, health and police.
The incident came to light after a man from Ahmednagar alleged that the two had taken Rs five lakh from him and promised to get his son a government job.
The two even claimed that they had good contacts in Mantralaya.
“61-year-old Kisan Idhate of Ahmednagar registered a complaint with us that Malwade and his son had promised him that they had good contacts in Mantralaya and would help his son get a job after taking Rs 5 lakh, however after receiving the money, both the accused started avoiding him,” said police sub inpsector U S Yadav of the Deccan-Gymkhana police station.

Owing to the latest developments, the case has been transferred to Deccan police station.
