Rooney Mara's style has changed completely after starring in 'The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo'.
After spending 14 months portraying tattooed and pierced gothic computer hacker Lisbeth Salander for the film, the actress no longer has the feminine, lacy, pink, whimsical and romantic style she had earlier.
"My wardrobe has completely changed. It had to, partly because of my hair and partly because I stopped feeling comfortable in what I used to wear," Contactmusic quoted her as saying.
"I don't feel comfy in those clothes anymore because I have been living as Lisbeth for 14 months," she said.
For the role Mara also had to get her nipple pierced - which she has since kept in -- and had to shave her head, which she said she was 'really happy' to do. She won her role in 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' for her willingness to completely transform herself.
"She was willing to risk everything. Her take on Lisbeth was as someone who can turn it completely off," director David Fincher said.
