The 38-year-old, who has modelled for the brand for eight years, was snubbed after she allegedly upset Yurman by posing for photographs for fashion house Fred, with whom she co-designed a jewellery line.
In the shoot, the supemodel went topless, just as she had in the Yurman campaign and the two campaigns were strikingly similar, the Daily Mail reported. “The Fred campaign is embarrassingly similar to the one David Yurman ran a year ago,” the designer had said back then.
“We are confident consumers know the difference,” he said. A source close to the jewellery house too spoke about the row between the two. “David decided that after Kate’s faux pas she just wasn’t the right fit for the brand any longer,” the source said.
